Full Home Remodel: Kitchen, Flooring, Painting and Bathroom
When these homeowners first called us, they were thinking about updating the kitchen. By the time we finished walking through the house together, the plan had grown into a full remodel. The home had a great layout and beautiful views of the water, but the finishes were dated and the rooms did not feel connected. Our goal was to give the entire house a bright, clean and cohesive look from the front door all the way to the back patio.
Flooring
We started from the ground up. We replaced the old flooring throughout the main living areas with large format porcelain tile in a polished marble look. The white background with soft grey veining reflects the natural light pouring in through the windows and makes every room feel bigger and brighter. Using the same floor everywhere also ties the living room, family room and kitchen together so the whole home flows as one open space. We finished the job with tall white baseboards for a crisp, clean edge.
Painting
Fresh paint made a huge difference. We repainted the walls in a soft light grey that pairs perfectly with the new floors and keeps the rooms calm and airy. The trim, doors and ceilings were refreshed in bright white, and we gave the columns at the entry a dramatic black marble finish that adds a touch of elegance as soon as you walk in.
Kitchen
The kitchen was the heart of the project. We installed white shaker cabinets with crown molding along the perimeter and paired them with a light grey shaker island for a little contrast. The island is topped with a white quartz with bold grey veining, and the stone wraps down the end in a waterfall edge that makes it the centerpiece of the room. The same quartz continues across all the perimeter countertops.
The backsplash is the detail that gets the most compliments. We chose a geometric marble mosaic with a square frame pattern in white and charcoal. Along the sink wall we took it all the way up to the ceiling and added two light oak floating shelves, which gives the homeowners a perfect spot for their favorite mugs, glasses and dishes while softening the look with some natural wood.
Under the window wall, a stainless workstation sink with a built in drying rack and cutting board makes prep and cleanup easy. Stainless steel appliances and satin nickel pulls complete the look.
Bathroom
We carried the same fresh, modern style into the bathroom with updated finishes, fixtures and tile so it feels just as polished as the rest of the house.
The Result
What started as a kitchen update became a complete transformation. Today the home feels bright, open and move in ready, with finishes that work together from room to room.
