Navy and White Kitchen with Floor to Ceiling Storage and a Matching Primary Bath
This homeowner wanted a clean, modern look throughout the house with lots of storage and a consistent style from room to room. We remodeled both the kitchen and the primary bathroom using the same crisp cabinetry, white quartz and matte black accents, so the whole home feels connected and thoughtfully designed.
The Kitchen
Storage from Floor to Ceiling
Storage was the number one priority, so we took the cabinetry all the way up. The upper cabinets are white with a slim shaker profile and stacked in two tiers, reaching right to the ceiling. On one wall, a full run of tall pantry cabinets frames the refrigerator, which sits neatly inside the cabinetry with storage above. Across from it, a long stretch of deep drawers sits under another wall of stacked uppers, creating a huge pantry and prep zone that keeps everything organized and out of sight.
Two Tone Contrast
For the lower cabinets we chose a deep navy that grounds the room and creates a striking contrast with the bright white uppers. Matte black pulls on every door and drawer tie both colors together and give the kitchen a sharp, modern edge.
Cooking and Cleanup
The cooking wall features a sleek induction cooktop under a dark stainless chimney hood with a curved glass canopy. We ran a white quartz with soft grey veining up the wall as a full slab backsplash, keeping the look clean and making cleanup quick and easy.
The kitchen wraps around into a peninsula that opens to the living area. It holds a black undermount sink with a matte black pull down faucet, and the quartz drops down the end in a waterfall edge. Two stools tuck underneath, making it a great spot for breakfast or chatting with whoever is cooking. Near the back door, two light oak floating shelves add warmth and a place to display glassware and plants.
The Primary Bathroom
A Vanity with a Place to Sit
In the primary bath, we used the same slim shaker style in white for a custom vanity with a built in makeup area. A lowered section in the middle creates a comfortable spot to sit, with a wide drawer above and drawer stacks on the right for storage. The sink side has a door and drawers below, and the whole vanity is topped with white quartz and a matching backsplash. A matte black widespread faucet and a large black framed mirror tie in perfectly with the kitchen.
A Spa Style Shower
The walk in shower is finished in large format porcelain in a soft warm beige, which gives the space a calm, spa like feel with very few grout lines. A frameless glass enclosure with matte black hardware keeps the room open and bright. Inside, we included a black rain shower head, a handheld sprayer, a built in niche for toiletries and a sleek linear drain. A frosted window brings in natural light while keeping the space private.
The Result
The finished home feels bright, clean and beautifully consistent, with a kitchen that offers storage for absolutely everything and a primary bath that feels like a personal retreat.
