Navy and White Shaker Kitchen with Brass Hardware
Navy and white is one of those combinations that never really goes out of style, and this kitchen shows why. The homeowners wanted something that felt fresh but timeless, a kitchen they wouldn’t get tired of in five years. We think we nailed it.
Two tones, one look
All the base cabinets are a deep navy shaker, and the uppers are a clean white shaker finished with crown molding along the ceiling. Long brass bar pulls run across every drawer and door, and they really pop against the navy. The dark lowers give the room some weight, while the white uppers keep it bright and open.
Stone from counter to cabinet
We topped everything with a white quartz that has a soft, warm gold vein running through it. Rather than tile, we took the same quartz straight up the wall as a full backsplash, all the way to the bottom of the upper cabinets. It’s clean, there are no grout lines to deal with, and the veining ties the whole room together.
Built for a busy family
This is a family kitchen in every sense, so we made sure it works hard. The sink is a workstation model with a sliding cutting board and drying rack built right in, paired with a brass faucet that matches the hardware. The peninsula gives plenty of extra prep space and a spot to gather, and its back side is paneled in navy so it looks finished from the living room.
On the other side of the kitchen, we built a full fridge wall with tall pantry cabinets right next to the refrigerator and a small counter nook for the coffee maker. There’s also a big center island with deep drawers on both sides, so pots, pans, and everything else finally have a home.
The result
A kitchen that looks sharp, feels warm, and stands up to everyday life with kids running through it. That’s exactly what this family asked for.
