Walnut and Cream European Kitchen with Gold Veined Stone and a Beverage Bar
The homeowners wanted a kitchen that felt warm, modern and a little bit luxurious, with clean lines that would be easy to live with every day. We designed a European style kitchen that pairs rich walnut tones with soft cream cabinetry and gold veined stone, then added a dedicated beverage bar that feels like a boutique hotel lounge right at home.
Cabinets
The upper cabinets and tall columns are flat panel doors in a warm walnut wood grain. They run up toward the ceiling and wrap around the window, where we framed the opening in matching walnut so it looks like a built in detail rather than just a gap between cabinets. On the appliance wall, a tall walnut column houses a speed oven and a wall oven stacked at the perfect height, and the refrigerator sits right beside it with a cabinet above for a fully integrated look.
The lower cabinets are a soft cream matte finish with a handleless design and slim aluminum channels. The light, quiet color balances the warm wood and keeps the kitchen feeling bright and open.
At the end of the upper run, we added a pair of aluminum frame glass doors in a warm bronze tone with smoked glass and interior lighting. They show off glassware beautifully and add a touch of elegance where the kitchen meets the living room.
Countertops and Backsplash
The countertops are a white stone with soft gold and taupe veining, finished with a thick edge for a solid, substantial look. We carried the same stone up the walls as a full slab backsplash, so the sweeping veins flow from the counters all the way to the cabinets. Behind the induction cooktop, the pattern looks almost like a painting, framed by a slim stainless chimney hood. Under cabinet lighting makes the stone glow in the evening.
The Sink and Island
Under the window, a large workstation sink with a roll up drying rack and a brushed faucet makes prep and cleanup easy while enjoying a view of the backyard and pool. The island continues the walnut tones with wood grain drawers and is topped with a dramatic slab featuring a bold, flowing vein that runs right across the surface. It drops down the end in a waterfall edge for a clean, modern finish.
The Beverage Bar
Just off the kitchen, we created a beverage bar that has quickly become the homeowners’ favorite spot. A walnut cabinet with bronze framed glass doors and interior lighting sits up top, flanked by fluted wood panels that add texture and blend seamlessly into the crown molding. Below, a dual zone wine fridge sits beside a cream cabinet, all topped with the same gold veined stone, which wraps down the side in a waterfall edge and climbs the wall as a backsplash. It is the perfect place for an evening glass of wine or a morning coffee.
The Result
The finished kitchen is warm, elegant and thoughtfully designed, with walnut and cream cabinetry, gold veined stone and a beverage bar that adds a touch of everyday luxury.
